BRISBANE DRAMA FESTIVAL 2026 - SOLOS & DUOS

Brisbane Drama Festival 2026 is back again thanks to the support of  the Brisbane Speech and Drama Community marking it as a favourite event in their annual Calendar.

Convenors Note: After years of watching the numbers of senior students participating in the Festival diminish and recognising that so many of these senior are time poor and struggle to memorise some of the lengthy pieces suitable for senior work, we would like to try something different.

We would like to offer the opportunity for verses and proses to be presented as either read or memorised and adjudicated together.

Acting pieces eg. Character, Period Drama. Extract From A Play and Duologue must be memorised.

This apparently works well at other Drama competitions and might help minimise the pressure of having so many long pieces and encourage more participation by our senior students.

The  event is open to local and interstate individuals and groups, encouraging young speakers and actors to participate for performance experience and gain essential opportunities in putting their work to practise.

All Groups must have a ‘title’ and be entered on one entry form only.

Compulsory Digital Program is added at time of entry (1 per family) (if multiple families please add numbers)

Admin Fee $6 will be added at time of entry.

#all payments will be made by Direct Deposit via the Online Entry System

*competitor surname and invoice number must be added as reference

Tickets will be available after the program is released.
